"FCA has always been a part of my life starting in High School I learned about what it meant to implement my faith in sport. As I got to college, it was extremely easy to get distracted in all of the things we got to be involved in from school, football, relationships, and the list goes on and on. We got tugged in so many different directions, it was easy to get side tracked. Through Fellowship of Christian Athletes and specifically Pat Ford’s guidance, I was able to learn what it looked like to be truly authentic in my relationship with Christ and how that related to my sport and life. I learned the value of being authentic to myself, my relationship with teammates, and ultimately with my relationship to Jesus. I couldn’t speak enough to what FCA has done for me individually and for the family that I’ve met through my time at Texas State."
